Don't let it end

I was compiling the lyrics to the album this week for an article about Into the Blue & this lyric struck me as being so relevant to the week I've just had. It's from one of the tracks on the new record, Only Once, a song about not letting a single moment pass you by. Life gets in the way sometimes, doesn't it. You get bogged down with your own fears & anxieties to really enjoy the moment, or your head is so busily thinking about the next thing that you don't see how precious it is right now. Maybe I'm talking to an audience of mindful aficionados, if that's the case - then I think that's wonderful. For me, some of those lessons have come a bit later, especially before & during making this record.
So anyway, back to why I'm word doodling on this blog today. I was just thinking about getting ready for touring & starting to travel & get back into all the usual tasks of releasing a new album & I felt a bit uneasy. How are you all coping with these transitional times? It's complicated isn't it. I'm so excited to see you all & I want us all to stay healthy. I hope we can do those things simultaneously. Some of this I think was brought on by a trip to our storage locker in LA; our US gear has sat in situ for 18 months now. I can't wait to fix it, clean it, get it up and running again. I think a lot of bands are steadying themselves & trying to understand this new chapter. We need money to startup again, but we've been without shows for well over a year.

And this brings me to another thing I want to say. THANK YOU. We had a flurry of new Monthly Club Members yesterday & it really does help keep the worries away. We're launching our new podcast Into the .... this weekend, it'll live Backstage & we're getting ready for the Listening Party on August 15th. It's lovely to see new Members & we hope you enjoy the music & shows as well as knowing that you are really supporting the 3 of us.

One of my best (wisest) friends said to me

"Things have to change. You can change your thoughts and your emotions will follow"

I love that, and it's very much the spirit of the new record. It's okay to process where you're at, think it through & face your worries. We're here for any of you that want to chat during these changing times , drop us a line any time.

Love and best
