When we're not looking for a moose, or building a fire in the woods we’re recording an album in this beautiful house. We’ll be back on the road at the end of the month and December, playing some radio shows, check out the tour section here. But in the meantime we’re going for a skinny dip in the lake! WOOOOOO!
    P.S where's wally!

    Hello all,
We're about halfway through our North American tour, driving through Colorado and Kansas today en route to St Louis for tomorrow's show.
Thanks to all who've come out , shook hands, had hugs, we're having a great time. I know some of you missed out on merch ( we couldn't sell any in las vegas/canada) , we've got some great bits in the shop if you fancy a treat.
Ok, over and out, back to listening to Deer Tick.

    Lots of love
    R&R&M x

We're a few dates into our tour of the U.S and Canada and van problems aside, we're really enjoying ourselves. Thank you to Atlanta, Durham, DC and Albany for a warm welcome and to Mona and The Lonely Forest for being our tour companions.

To celebrate our time in each of your fair towns and cities, we've been collecting a variety of souvenirs, mementos and keepsakes. We're giving away each of these finds , (we'll sign & message them too) to the best comment on our website/and/or Facebook page.
You can comment on why you want this prize, the gig that it relates to or any generality

  • Meet the Goldheart Assembly, who we played with at Reading and Leeds last year. Great band, fear our gig schedules conflict, but we hope we can do some shows together soon.

Giddiness ensues at various locations around town, I eat the best cream corn known to man and sample the Texan dirty martinis. Been looking forward to this moment ; Edwyn Collins playing in a tiny club called Nuvelo. Great set, very nice telecaster tone and an unexpected chance to meet the man himself.

Hitch a lift in a bicycle drawn cart, singing “Losing Sleep” through the streets of Austin.

  • It’s our first morning in Austin, Texas. It’s discernibly hotter than North Wales. We’re on the lookout for an introductory American breakfast, and it’s routine that Matt gorges himself on pancakes on the first day. Away from the hotel, under a spaghetti of freeways, we find a diner that doesn’t disappoint and three varieties of maple syrup.

Get word that we have a last minute show at Fader Fort this afternoon ; roll ourselves into town. It’s a dramatic start to SXSW. Rhydian’s bass amp sets alight, sending plumes of smoke into the faces of the first row. “hello, we’re The Joy Formidable”
