Pass the Pentagon, the tidal basin, the Lincoln Memorial and the cherry blossom is in full bloom. Always glad to be back in DC and always flooded by memories. The Black Cat was an old haunt of mine when I lived in the city, so feels great to be here and a sold out show to boot. Celebrate with perhaps the worst Bloody Mary known to man, straight from hell's compost heap. Have a very giddy pre show warm up, listening to the Birdie Song with a bottle of Maker's Mark, Rhydian teaching us some of his old gymnastic moves. It's an accident waiting to happen. Love the show, meet some great people. We're driving overnight to Albany, so sadly a fleeting visit. I'm in the trunk tonight, with a torch, mill on the floss and we're working on a new remix for the lovely Boxer Rebellion too.

We picked this up at the show, we will adorn it, you should probably wash it and you can win it if you comment below. More keepsakes to come ...

Use to love going to the Black Cat when I lived in MD. Always made me think of Jeff Beck's Black Cat Moan.

I spent 7 years in DC with much of that time at the BC but I have no glass to show for it. Help! (You folks rock, by the way...come to Lollapalooza in August!)

i have a black and white cat named "hell's compost heap."

Mine's a pint of TJF : straight, no chasers, completely undiluted. As the mighty Ludacris possibly said in his epic rap Undisputed.

My black cat whom my daughter named Diamond...would love this glass.

If given this glass, the first toast I make will be, "Iechyd da!"

What can I say...I love your music, and I love beer. Help me put the two together!

Thanks for a fantastic show in Chicago – I guess. You see, the question now is, “what next?” After your show, I’ve lost interest in everything else on my upcoming musical calendar. Your mammoth sound, musicianship, Ritzy’s voice, as well as thought-provoking lyrics have me still battling to lay down the hairs on the back of my neck, even after two days. I’m looking forward to the next time I can experience your amazing music live. I wish you all the success you want, and hope making music continues to bring you as much joy as your music brings to us.

I wouldn't mind if that Black Cat crossed my lips...so I raise your glass in a toast, "Here's to life and death, may they never meet!" DC in the spring is lovely, but the rolling hills on the Ohio River in Southern Indiana has its charm too....come visit. Saw you guys live at the Billiards in Austin during SXSW. My mate in Oxford turned me on to your music over two years ago. You can mail my glass to David Wells, 7299 Parkridge Road, Newburgh, IN 47630...and I'll be sure to fill it with a proper ale like Old Speckled Hen. Cheers!

As a DC native I love The Black Cat and LOVE your music so of course I was there to see your show and had an amazing time! I would love to have this in my kitchen to think of my new favorite band every time I use it. Come back soon!! xo

My daughter and I are coming to see you in St. Louis (she's 12 and totally digs you guys, as do I). I'll hold out for an item from that stop. That way someone else more deserving can snag this very elegant glass. All the best! Ian

Loved your show at the Black Cat! I'm so glad you came to DC. Come back soon!

What a totally neat souvenir!

I can't believe this is the souvenir! I have a huge collection of pint glasses (103+). I buy one from every bar I go to that sells them. I was in D.C. last Summer, and they didn't sell them, but I bribed a waitress to let me take a "broken" one home. Sadly, karma caught up with me as soon as I got home, because it actually did break in the dishwasher before I even got to use it. I can't say this would complete my collection, because it's going to just keep going forever. But it would definitely fill a hole that the loss left in my heart and on my shelf! (and if, by some chance, you happen to swing through Faversham when you're in Kent, I also recently lost my Shephard Neame glass to a tragic dog-toy-throwing accident...)

By far my new favorite band...would love a pint glass to commemorate it.

When you were all in Toronto on the last tour, Rhydian gave me a free beer from the drink tickets, I talked to Ritzy about the Black Cat because we both used to live around DC aaaannddd...I've got no tie-in to Matt without making up some malarkey. But this pint glass symbolizes about 2/3 of TJF for me! Thanks for coming back to Toronto again so soon. We won't complain if you do so again.

Reason #1 I attended the show: To finally see my new favorite band after missing your last stop in D.C. Reason #2: To see Ritzy's pedalboard up close. Yes, I'm a guitar nerd.

Loved this show! Was my first chance to finally see y'all, and I can't wait until next time! :)

excellent show...saw you downstairs a few months earlier and was still blown away. My ears stopped ringing after about 4 days...thanks!
